Broadly speaking, my research attempts to integrate paleontological and neontological data into a phylogenetic context and tends to be organismal as well as interdisciplinary. I incorporate techniques drawn from paleobotany, plant morphology and development, systematics and taxonomy, and most recently proteomics and transcriptomics. At Université Paris Sud, I am working on the MAGNIPHY project with Hervé Sauquet to investigate RNA expression during floral development in key exemplar species of Magnoliidae.
